I am a founding member of the Moving2Gather group. The purpose of this group is to gather the French community involved in the development and the use of statistical methods for movement ecology. Its main activity is an (almost) biennial meeting. The programs of the previous editions are available.
I am also deeply involved in the StateofTheR group. This nice group is a place to receive and provide, in fact to exchange advices on how we should use R. As R is a continuously moving environment, this group is very helpful in staying up to date with the new evolution. We organize every year, a one week R bootcamp :
